Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick Vs Champagne Discovery Lip Set I was on my usual (possibly weekly) Sephora black out shopping spree. (Please note I began this post forever ago before setting my New Year's Resolutions.) I saw that Bite Beauty had come out with a new liquid lipstick and a discovery set so I obviously could not pass either one up. Who doesn't love a good liquid lipstick and a full size major discounted set!? Let's start with the Amuse Bouche Liquid Lipstick. I LOVE the color options. I picked up the color Whip which is a blushed beige color. I was excited to see that this liquid lipstick is different from the majority of liquid lipsticks that are currently out in the market. It is creamy, extra hydrating and does not get chalky or dry. The application tip is angled and pointed, overall it goes on so smooth and full coverage. I only had to swipe once! A++ for the full coverage and high pigmentation. I applied this before leaving for work, I grabbed my cup of coffee and headed out the door. When I got to work about 30 minutes later it was still on and creamy. About two hours later however I noticed it had completely disappeared. This could definitely have been sped up due to me drinking my coffee relentlessly so I will give it another shot. The ingredients are of course what make it so creamy and satin like. The main ingredients are Monoi Butter and Coconut Oil. This is why I felt like it literally melted onto my lips the second it touched them. It was a very blissful experience applying this, as again, I haven't tried a liquid lipstick like this before. I gave it another shot a day or two later and realized it is only inevitable that I will be drinking coffee and or eating while wearing lipstick and that I def prefer a liquid lipstick that can withstand my coffee addiction. I am now on the hunt to find a liquid lipstick that is slightly creamy when applying but dries (is that an oxymoron?), is not sticky and stays put, oh and nothing too chalky. My lips are already super dry (this is a work in progress to drink more water to aid with that issue.) If anyone has found a liquid lipstick that fits this description, please HELP A GAL OUT. My over all thought was: I love the color, texture, application and most importantly the ingredients; it just isn’t long lasting (sob.) P.S if you do want to try this liquid lipstick out Bite Beauty's Amuse Bouche Liquified Lip Set is on sale at Sephora.com for $15! They also just came out with like 15 more earthy colors! Champagne Discovery Lip Set I am going to be honest, I am a HUGE fan of liquid lipstick, it just works better for me. But, I am a sucker for a good deal and for Bite Beauty in general so I couldn't pass on this lip set. Bite Beauty does not contain gluten, sulfates, parabens, phthalates or petrochemicals (not even silicone) and is a Leaping Bunny approved company. HOORAY! This lip set comes with a Lip Pencil in color 036, a Multistick in the color Cashew and a Crème Lip Gloss in the color Champagne Pearl. - This set On Sale now at Sephora.com for $29.00 First off, this lip pencil is SO easy to work with! It is creamy, light and maneuverable. It does not come in a twist up, which I like because yay less plastic use! Down side, make sure you have a pencil sharpener with you. Color 036 is a rose taupe color, so a warm nude. The main ingredient to this is whipped shea butter which creates the light weight creamy consistency. Please note this lip pencil is not vegan (sigh) it does have organic beeswax in it. **Now on the look to find a lip pencil just like this minus the beeswax. The Multistick in Cashew is a rose taupe, warm nude and very creamy even though 35% of the ingredients are powder based. Bite Beauty really gets the need for a lip hydrator. Thank you! It is not as creamy as the liquid lipstick which I was happy about because that was a little too much for me. I am hard to please with lip products. Regardless this lipstick went on very smooth and blended so well with lip pencil 036. It applies like a cream and wears like a powder. Before applying the gloss I gave the lipstick and liner duo a walk around, having coffee and just hanging around my apartment for awhile. It stayed in place but I got a feeling that in a few hours from now I would need to reapply. The beautiful thing about this multistick is that it is super easy to reapply and I think works well if you aren't trying to have the most cut style of lips like Insta lips. I think it is great for every day work wear. The other cool item about the mulstistick is that... IT'S A MULTISTICK. You can use this for eyes, cheeks, lips, honestly whatever you want. It is the perfect item to carry in a bag, especially if you are going out and possibly not staying at your place that night. Bam, you have half of your face done the next morning with just one product. P.S - They just came out with Prismatic Multisticks which are gorgeous, its like a solid formula of their Prismatic Crème Lip Gloss. Great to be used on lips, eyes or a blush/highlighter! Can I get an AMEN!? Lastly, the Gloss. I am in love. I was not a gloss person for the longest time. This might be from the trauma my mother caused me in grade and middle school, always telling me to put on lip gloss while I was a total tomboy. LOOK AT THE CREATURE YOU HAVE NOW TURNED ME INTO MOM. This gloss is a game changer. I am now back to my year 2000 ways and rocking the gloss look. So why is this gloss so great? First, the application wand is fantastic, it has a pointed angled tip and applies with precision. I was always a color out side of the lines kind of artist in like 3rd grade so lipstick, gloss, the whole nine yards can be tough for me. But with this applicator, it is so easy. Second, the formula is great, not too thick, not too thin, just right! It feels a little sticky from the get go but that vanishes and it stays on long. Third (lastly?) the color is AH-MAZING. The champagne pearl is a warm nude color and it has SO MANY flecks of very fine gold and nude glitter. Again, my 2000 self is screaming (to be clear I was no longer a tomboy in 2000.) I have now purchased three other crème lip glosses from them because I am so obsessed and the color options are amazing. Honestly they range from the Champagne Pearl which is a great color to wear during the day as an eye catching accessory to warm up an outfit, all the way to a Gold, which is legit GOLD. One swipe and you'll have a leprechaun chasing you around. Their Peacock Pearl is on the same level as the Gold, they are both on the more extreme side of the spectrum. I've worn the Peacock Pearl to a few concerts before. All in all they have a lip gloss color for any occasion. Amuse Bouche Liquid Lipstick Conclusion: If you are looking for a creamy, hydrating liquid lipstick. The Amuse Bouche Liquid Lipstick is for you! Just make sure you pack it with you to re-apply throughout the day. Lip Pencil Conclusion: Creamy, yet weightless, very precise and blendable. Everything you want in a lip pencil but not vegan. Sob. Multistick Conclusion: Great for everyday wear. Lightweight and hydrating. Prismatic Crème Lip Gloss Conclusion: GET THEM ALL. These are my favorite lip glosses that I have ever tried besides the Huda Beauty Lip Gloss. Next will be Huda Beauty Lip Gloss vs Bite Beauty Lip Gloss review. XOXO CoolGirlConclusion PLZ let me know if you try any of these products and your thoughts on them!

I am a frequent user of body scrubs & soaking in baths for an obscene amount of time. My entire life I have always felt the most comfortable and at home in some form of body of water. A tub being a small body of water but whatever it works for me! I can now safely say I have found my FAV company to purchase essential bath items from. Chasin' Unicorns is not just a shop founded by two beautiful Cali babes but it is also a form of an easy breezy, spread the light and love kind of life style. I somehow stumbled onto this company via Instagram and I was immediately hooked without even knowing anything about the brand! I was captivated because the first thing I saw on their gram was a bathbomb in the form of a skull. I was like, THESE PEOPLE GET ME!!!! I dove in. I started following them immediately via Insta and headed to their store front website. Again... I WAS AMAZED! I don't know about you but I have not seen a bath bomb/essential oil/crystal website like theirs before. It is so aesthetically pleasing (this is huge thing for me) and all of their content just hits home to me. I don't know what it is about skulls but I just gravitate toward them and Chasin' Unicorns has all sorts of skull goodies. On top of their slight skull obsession that matches mine they also have natural, cruelty free essential oils, body scrubs, bath bombs and bath crumbles to just name a few. I repeat natural & cruelty free!!! So a little info about me...my skin is sooooo terribly dry & my legs are just in a whole different realm of F'd Up. But, I had run out of the last body scrub I was using and I wasn't ecstatic about it. It was just whatever. SO GREAT TIMING FOR ME TO HAVE STUMBLED UPON THIS GEM. I bought my first round of bath supplies that I was in need of: body scrub, bath crumble and an essential oil.... oh and a unicorn silver necklace from their 925 Sterling Silver Collection, it is of their logo that again I am SLIGHTLY OBSESSED with! I then sat patiently and waited until my order came in. My box of goodies came in and I could smell AMAZINGNESS through the packaging. Upon opening a wonderful sweet and sultry scent escaped and I dove into unwrapping and smelling everything I had purchased. There was a sweet hand written note included from Sam and Jo. It was the perfect touch. I am such a sucker for hand written notes and aesthetically pleaseing packaging. Also a fun note, all of their scrubs & essential oils are all contained in glass and not plastic. YAY! So let us dive in to see all the wonderfulness of what came in my order: Unicorn Tears - Essential Oils Goddess Blend This is a blend of 100% pure & natural Lemongrass, Jasmine & Rose. When I first took a smell of it my nose was slightly over powered by the scent... but I also think that's because I just about stuck it up my nose on accident, whoops! I was not expecting it to be so powerful, this coming from a gal who use to live by perfumes that are made with an alcohol base. I have now said goodbye to my old perfume ways and I seriously live by this Goddess Blend Essential Oil! The lemongrass scent hits the nose first with a sweet and strong energizing aura and then the jasmine and rose transition it out with their gentle notes to create a superbly seductive & enticing scent. It's hard for me to describe it really, but I just feel like a powerful, young, independent (sorry Chris) sexy woman who just played a killer game of beach volleyball (though you don't smell like sweaty but there is some kind of note in there that just gives the sense of beachy-ness. No idea why that image comes to mind when I apply it but it does, maybe its my inner self fantasy.) When I notice myself dragging at work I will roll it on the nape of my neck and up into the hair line as well along my wrists and chest. I immediately notice myself sitting up taller and my focus gets re aligned. All in all its my fav new scent but I also wanted to try out their Liquid Day Dream Scent so that is next up in my order and I'm sure i'll love that one too so I will just have to rotate them. :) What a problem to have! Detox Baths Synergy Crumbles So I was a bubble bath kind of gal but then I realized it totally dries out my skin. I tried this Synergy Bath Crumble and was not upset about it. After a long day of work and feeling run down, this crumble seriously breathed a new life into me and an added bonus a little crystal was hidden in crumble! I had never had a crystal bath before this one and I am now a believer. I have this awful fidgeting problem and I have torn my hands apart because of it before. I just can't keep them still, it's like a nervous tick I have, but it's weird because it causes me to be destructive with my hands. Legit hang nails are my worse enemy. Anyways way too much info but having the crystal in the bath with me was a life & hand saver. I rolled it in my hand and gently messed around with it and it really calmed my soul. The Synergy Crumble is made with Sage (Aura Smudge), Pink Himalayan Salt, 100% Natural Magnesium Epsom Salt, Organic Coconut Oil, Softening Rose Water, Dried Buddah Leaf Tea, Lemon & Grapefruit Essential Oils, Natural Sodium bicarbonate and a Rough Cut Crystal. AKA it blasts any and all negative energy away from you so you can refocus on all the goodness you have. Deep Breath, exhale, all is well with this lil babe. Body Butter - In Shower Exfoliating Moisturizer Lemon Grass Scent As you can see lemongrass was a huge key scent for my order. Lemongrass uplifts the soul and keeps depression at bay. As mentioned before I have some pretty F'd Up legs. Dry, scaly, gross... all in all maxi dresses and skirts have become my bff. Someone had told me that my legs look like someone had been putting cigarettes out on them. That's not fun to hear but.... he kind of hit the nail on the head with that one (no, no one has ever comes that close to me with a cigarette before but I have these crazy scars all over my shins. If only I had epic stories to go along with them.) Wow long tangent about my nasty is now over. So all I really need to say about this body butter moisturizing scrub is... HALLEFRFEAKINGLUJAH It is a God send, or whomever and what ever you believe in. Believe in this scrub. It is a 24 hour moisturizer, no joke. The organic sweet almond oil gets into the skin and gives you a nice detox of the pores and hair follicles. I have seen a crazy improvement in my sorry legs since using this scrub in my shower routine. The Organic Pink Himalayan Salt aids in the detoxing of the skin and is the key to scrubbing off the dead skin cells. Lastly, the 100% pure lemongrass essential oil is the icing on the cake. THEN there is organic coconut oil that gives that lasting 24 hour moisturizer. OH LA LA I got out of the shower feeling like a goddess! Lastly, The Unruley. This from their 925 Sterling Silver Signature Collection. The overall length of this beauty is 16″. Seeing this dainty but yet strong and centered piece, it called to me. Then reading the description and intention of the necklace it was an easy "yes I need this in my life right now" kind of purchaser. The Unruley is for those who dream of stranger worlds. Unicorns are a rarity and it is a great reminder that you, yourself, are a rarity. I wear this necklace just about everyday now. It is the center of my wardrobe and again I have that weird anxious tick so it something that I hold onto a lot at work, kind of like a security blanket! If you haven't sensed my love for this brand and for these loving ladies then I just haven't done this review right. Sam & Jo are too kind and have a killer online code that you can use to receive 10% off of your Chasin' Unicorns order (of all regular priced non-bundled items.) Type in "coolgirlcon" when finalizing your order to redeem. Happy shopping & scrubbing! XOXO - CoolGirlConclusion Ever wanted a tattoo but are a little nervous as to if you will like the design later on in life or are unsure of where exactly you want something to go FOREVER (said in Spongebob voice.)? Well have no fear! Temporary eyeliner tattoos are here!! I was super bored a few days ago at home and was browsing Youtube looking for a tutorial on how to draw bee's and honeycombs for a makeup project that I am working on (more to come on that later.) Anyways I somehow stumbled upon all these videos of people drawing temporary tattoos on them using eyeliner! I immediately ran to my makeup drawer and pulled out all of my old liquid eyeliner that I don't use. I then went to my Pinterest board of tattoo ideas and went to town! I seriously suggest trying this out if you are in between a few designs or placement areas. I was probably having a little too much fun with this but I honestly can't remember the last time I sat down to actually draw something! It has to be back in art class in high school, or really any other class in high school (I wasn't a very good student, head in the clouds and doodles as notes.) I also suggest when looking at tattoo ideas remember you are just looking for IDEAS. Always try out some kind of personal spin on a tattoo you may see on the internet and love. It will bring so much joy to you knowing you either designed the entire thing or part of it. I have a few tattoos and they are all pulled from things I saw on the internet. Either I copied the script but used a quote that hit home to me or I saw a geometric design I loved and added another design from somewhere else on top of it. I like to think I aided in designing the final product but let's be honest... I just joined two already created images together. There is nothing wrong with that and I do not regret a single tattoo I have. I just didn't realize how much joy I would get out of doodling on my skin with eyeliner & black eyeshadow. I have now taken a million images of what I drew and will one day take it to a tattoo artist cough, cough Aaron from Rise Above Tattoo to have him recreate it forever. So when starting this mini art projection, I again referenced Pinterest. I started with a bare arm. No moisturizers, nothing. Then I took a deep breath and dove right in! It was semi liberating and I did mess up a few times and of course I wish some lines were straighter but that's the beauty of it, it's not permanent. Once I doodled and liked what I had. I then took an eye-shadow brush and created some shading with black eye-shadow.
So on to real tattoo talk. I make sure if I get a new tattoo idea in my head I sit on it for months. I know that I am constantly changing and developing into my own being and I want to make sure the things I permanently place on my body are not impulse tattoos. Again this is why I suggest tattoos with eyeliner first. Let your creativity flow and see what comes of it. Also if you're balling on a budget... eyeliner is a lot cheaper than tattoos. The tattoos I currently have, I placed them in specific areas because I wanted to hide them from my parents. When in reality, I would have placed them elsewhere if I had the courage at the time to stand up to the way I enjoy expressing myself. Well lessons learned and my parents have seen some of them and they didn't disown me. SHOCKER, just kidding I def hyped it all up in my head. I knew they wouldn't I just didn't want to disappoint them. Now I am in a bit of different mind set. I still of course never truly want to disappoint my parents but I've grown and learned that this is just a flesh wound (literally and figuratively) to them. This was not the end of the world to them and not that surprising as they figured I would come home from college with a full sleeve anyways. No idea where they every got that idea from. :) Some people think that getting a boob job enhances your look where as tattoos take away from your look. I am in the mindset of what ever floats your boat. Because your body is not my body and my body is not your body and we all owe it to ourselves to express ourselves however we deem fit for OUR SELF. YOU DO YOU BOO BOO. XOXO CoolGirlConclusion |
